Ramzi Touchan

Emeritus Research Professor • Laboratory of Tree-Ring Research & School of Natural Resources and the Environment, University of Arizona

Ramzi’s research, teaching, and outreach over several decades have expanded the dendrochronology and dendroclimatology knowledge base. His work integrates tree-ring science to improve understanding of the natural environment and informs the management of water and other natural resources. Ongoing efforts include networks of tree-ring chronologies to study large-scale patterns of climate variability across the Mediterranean Basin, North America, and Russia.

David M. Meko

Emeritus Research Professor • Laboratory of Tree-Ring Research, University of Arizona

David uses tree-ring and instrumental data to study natural variability in climatic and hydrologic systems, with notable contributions to extending streamflow records for water-resources agencies in the western United States. His research emphasizes statistical aspects of reconstruction.
