The course is to be held in Artvin, a picturesque city in northeastern Türkiye where the Çoruh River cuts through deep valleys and high ridges. Artvin is renowned for its breathtaking landscapes, rich biodiversity, and warm local culture.

Faculty of Forestry, Artvin Çoruh University (Seyitler Campus) hosts all indoor activities. Modern lecture rooms, computer labs, and microscopy/sample-preparation facilities support the program. Comfortable on-campus housing and full board can be arranged for participants.

Participants typically fly into Trabzon or Batumi and continue by shuttle or intercity bus. Designated meeting points in Trabzon and Batumi will help coordinate arrivals.
Artvin experiences a humid mountain climate. Summer conditions are generally mild compared to lowland Black Sea cities, with average daytime temperatures around 25–28 °C—ideal for outdoor fieldwork.

Most locations are within 30–90 minutes of Artvin city center, traffic and road conditions permitting.
All lectures and laboratory sessions will be conducted at the Faculty of Forestry on the Seyitler Campus. The campus features sample preparation rooms, microscopes for cross‑dating, computer labs for chronology building, and seminar halls for invited talks and group discussions.
